IQOS TEREA Purple Wave Menthol

The Taste: Blueberry Meets Cool Menthol

Pull on IQOS TEREA Purple Wave Menthol and the blueberry note arrives first, sweet rather than sharp, with the menthol following a beat later as a cooling finish rather than an icy blast up front. TEREA 365 rates the cooling and the intensity at four out of five each on this stick, which puts it closer to a firm menthol than a whisper of mint, while the fruit keeps the draw from tasting like a plain cooling stick with nothing else going on.

Buyers who have already worked through a box describe the flavour as rich and immensely satisfying, and more than one has called it intense in a pleasant way. That matches what we see at the counter: this is not a subtle stick, and people either want that combination of fruit and cooling or they reach for something else.

• Aroma: blueberry, described on the box as strong and satisfying
• Cooling: rated 4 out of 5
• Intensity: rated 4 out of 5
• Puffs per stick: up to 14
• Nicotine: 0.5 mg per stick

Who Chooses Purple Wave Menthol

Purple Wave Menthol suits IQOS ILUMA users who already lean toward fruit flavours but want more structure than a plain menthol stick gives them. It also works for anyone moving between a tobacco-forward TEREA and something with a fruitier top note, since the blueberry gives the draw a clear identity of its own rather than relying on cooling alone.

It is less of a fit for anyone who avoids menthol altogether, or who wants a soft, barely-there cooling touch on the exhale. At four out of five for both cooling and intensity, Purple Wave Menthol reads as one of the firmer menthol-and-fruit options in the TEREA Italy range rather than a light, easy-going one.

Purple Wave Menthol Compared with Other TEREA Sticks

Set next to a plain menthol TEREA, Purple Wave Menthol has more going on: the blueberry sits on top of the cooling instead of leaving menthol to carry the whole draw by itself. Set next to a fruit stick without menthol, the difference runs the other way — the throat feel here is crisper and the finish noticeably cooler, which changes the pace of the draw even where the fruit character is broadly similar.

For someone weighing IQOS TEREA Purple Wave against other TEREA Italy flavours, the real decision usually comes down to how much cooling you want sitting alongside the fruit, not whether you like blueberry as a flavour in the first place.

Using It with IQOS ILUMA Prime, One and Standard

TEREA Purple Wave Menthol is made for the IQOS ILUMA line specifically. IQOS ILUMA Prime, IQOS ILUMA One and IQOS ILUMA Standard all take the stick the same way, so the routine below applies across the range.

• Make sure the IQOS ILUMA device is charged and ready to use
• Insert the TEREA Purple Wave Menthol stick fully into the device
• Activate the device and wait for it to signal it is ready
• Draw normally for up to 14 puffs
• Remove and dispose of the used stick before inserting a fresh one

One Thing Worth Knowing Before You Order

The five reviews on file for this stick average 4.8 out of 5, and the comments are consistent — a genuine product, fair pricing and a satisfying flavour come up more than once. That said, five reviews is still a small sample next to some of the longer-running TEREA Italy flavours, so anyone comparing it against a stick with years of feedback should weigh that shorter track record accordingly.

The other point worth flagging is the strength of the cooling itself. At four out of five for both intensity and cooling, this is a firm menthol stick with fruit layered on top of it, not a light fruit stick with a passing touch of mint. If a soft, subtle cooling finish is what you are actually after, it is worth trying a milder TEREA line before settling on this one.
