Fitting it into an ILUMA session

TEREA sticks do not work in the older blade-based IQOS devices. This one is made for the induction heating used in ILUMA i, ILUMA Prime and ILUMA One, where the heating element sits inside the stick rather than inside the device. That removes the blade-cleaning routine and the risk of a snapped stick jamming the holder, which was the main upkeep complaint with earlier models.

Insert the stick straight in without twisting it - because heating comes from induction rather than a blade piercing the tobacco, a clean, straight insertion matters more than firm pressure. A session runs up to 14 puffs or six minutes, in line with the rest of the TEREA range. Pulling too hard or too fast can push the cooling oils past their working temperature and blunt the exact edge this stick is chosen for, so slower, even draws hold the flavour better than rushed ones.

The trade-off worth knowing

Menthol oils do not hold up well against heat, and that matters more in the UAE than somewhere cooler. A pack left in a parked car, on a sunlit windowsill, or anywhere above roughly 25°C can lose its edge before it is even opened, with the oils working into the paper instead of staying in the stick.
